Air Ambulance Cuba
Air Ambulance Worldwide (www.airambulanceworldwide.com), a provider of air ambulance transport services to patients around the world, has been granted a flight license to travel to and from all Cuban airports.
Tampa, FL (PRWEB) February 2, 2011 — The United States Treasury Department has authorized Air Ambulance Worldwide’s corporate affiliate Air GATO Enterprises the air rights required to operate air ambulance flights between the United States and Cuba for the purpose of carrying out the medical evacuations (“medevac”) of people suffering from a life threatening injury, trauma,or other medical condition. The licensing process Air Ambulance Worldwide faced was a long and arduous one, however AAWI overcame these hurdles by meeting the strict licensing requirements of both the US Treasury Department and the Cuban Government; ensuring the issuance of this rare license. Air Ambulance Worldwide is already a proven name and leader within the industry; but this new license translates to an expanded range of services for AAWI clients, with flights spanning 289 countries around the globe.
With this license, Air Ambulance Worldwide is also authorized to utilize its state of the art aircraft; including its Piaggio P180, leased Lear 35 Jet aircraft, and twin engine Piper Chieftain to land safely and promptly at all airports within the national borders of Cuba for the purpose of performing air ambulance evacuations back to the United States.
“Our nearly exclusive ability to enter and exit any airport on the island of Cuba also means that Air Ambulance Worldwide and its affiliate, Air GATO Enterprises, now have the opportunity to assist those who need help the most, severely injured flight travellers who are otherwise unable to receive proper treatment in Cuba and who need prompt medical assistance back in the United States” says Mark Jones, AAWI’s founder and CEO. Mr. Jones also mentioned that “In the past, there have been many patients inquiring about flying out of Cuba for medical assistance that couldn’t initially be helped that will now receive sufficient care thanks to our newly received flight license.”
Since 2004, Air Ambulance Worldwide has provided fixed wing air ambulance transportation service to private individuals and family members, Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Medical Assist Companies, Cost Containment Companies and other providers of Medical Care.
